DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT

According to the privacy laws to which Oceanbridge and the IOU app adheres, you have the right to request that your personal information is deleted.

However, as the IOU app is created for peer-to-peer transactions, deleting your personal information (and IOU's) would necessarily delete transactional information that the counter-party to the transaction has a right to retain.

As such, if you request your account to be deleted, we will delete any information not required by the counter-parties to IOU's you have previously engaged in through the IOU app. We will de-activate your account and ensure that you receive no further communications generated through or by the service.

We will also notify the counter-party to all transactions that you are no longer using the app and that they must contact you directly regarding any IOU's.

Should you request that your information is irretrievably deleted, we will do so after sending both you and the counter-party to any transactions a full transcript of the transaction. Please note that for legal reasons we will retain a record of your request for your account to be deleted.

To request your account to be de-activated or completely deleted, please contact us through the Feedback option under Settings on the IOU app or by emailing your request to info@iounetwork.com.
